* Retired Devon Rex cats have been placed in permanent pet home.
Our Devon Rex kittens are often retained for the purpose of developing the look to more closely represent the Devon Rex breed standard. To determine if a Devon Rex kitten is going to be the quality that we need for our program development projects, we must evaluate the kitten's features & attributes as they change over a period of time, usually from 6 months up to a year of age.
Although all of the Devon Rex cats pictured on our website were considered for inclusion in our breeding program, many of them were retired & placed in permament pet homes before reaching breeding age. Other Devon Rex indicated as retired were placed in permanent pet homes usually by 2 years of age.
We do not breed our cats over long numbers of years soley to have pet sale kittens. We breed our cats, after careful consideration, for the purposes of obtaining a kitten to carry-forward with our current developmental project. The first priorities for a kitten to be considered for inclusion in our projects is excellent health and temperment. Only after health and temperment qualifications are met, are other features and attributes examined.
