*Retired Peterbald have been placed in permanent pet homes.

Peterbald who are shami coat with fur points as adults were usually born with(or developed soon after birth) a brush, suede or velvet coat. It can take up to 2 years or more for some cats to gradually loze the body hair, while retaining the soft velvet or suede fur points.  Usually the skin of a fur point cat will be very soft & smooth to the touch.
