Above pictures are our Peterbald who were Suede,Velvet, Brush & Straight Coated as adult cats.
When a kitten is born, it is not possible to determine the coat he will have as an adult or to determine how much hairlessness he would give one of his future kittens. Since it is not advisable to mate 2 born-balds together at this point in time, & since we work with born-balds quite often, we are able to work with all the coat types in our breeding program.
Our Peterbald pictured above were retained for the purpose of developing colors or the look to more closely represent the standard. At this time, we only show adult cats that are Born-Bald, Shami or Shami with Fur Points. We do sometimes show kittens with brush coats that we are evaluating for inclusion in our program.
